Utrecht, Netherlands

The Dutch highway agency Rijkswaterstaat, kindly allowed me to conduct my master thesis research at their organisation. The research focussed on understanding the difficulties encountered by clients in Performance-Based Maintenance Contracts (PBMC's). Rijkswaterstaat has the regular maintenance of most of their roadways tendered to the market in such PBMC's. For this research an Agency-Stewardship framework was developed on which the research methodology was based. The conclusions gave an interesting and insightfull understanding of how contract management is conducted by different people, and how it can have a strong impact on how the experienced client-contractor relationship. In short: it's people who determine the success of contracts, not the black and white paperwork.

Dutch Process Innovators (DPI) is a young consultant company that aims to improve client's processes by assisting and educating them when difficulties arise in their businesses. During my graduation period I was given the opportunity to work via DPI on behalf of a contractor on data processing for a PBMC. It was a great first-hand experience on how market parties can innovatively pick up on such contracts when given the opportunity.

Aqaba Governorate, Jordan

An amazing and extremely adventurous internship with BAM International in Jordan. The project was executed by a joint venture of BAM and MAG. It consisted of the construction of Jordan's first LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) terminal in order to meet the country's ever increasing energy demands. It was a combination of land-side construction, including utilities, buildings, roads, and marine-side jetty boarding structure. In this period I was mostly concerned with work preperation, procurement, and QA/QC.

Representing Samsung on the floor of many electronic stores around the country. Being the point of contact with customers and finding fit for purpose solutions that satisfy the customer needs best. A job that required a high adaptability due to the wide range of customer types that you serve while striving to communicate Samsung's message best as possible.

Under the umbrella of Hamilton Bright being trained as overall Sales promotor. Worked on multiple projects for various brands, primairly Samsung Electronics, and additionally Microsoft and Philips.
