I love working on fun, challenging and real-world problems in the area of big data and machine learning. I am interested in utilizing algorithm to gain insights form Big Data mainly focused on social informatics (social media) and health informatics. In the past 12 years, I have been working in several companies and research and academic institutes, conducting research in different domains of Artificial Intelligence. In my PhD, I had the privilege to be a part of a great research group, Lab for Media Search (LMS), at School of Computing, where I developed machine learning approaches to decipher user wellness and lifestyle from their social media activities and contents. As a data scientist, I have many years of professional research and engineering experiences in projects related to big data mining, data aggregation and knowledge extraction, social media computing, information retrieval, recommender systems and the related topics.
