I have been an investment professional for 15+ years. These include a buy-side role for an American asset manager covering frontier/emerging equities and a sell-side equity research role for a British investment bank. In 2017, I decided it was time to leverage what I learned throughout my career and use that to help people make better investments in Bangladesh. Investing in equities, fixed income or startups in Bangladesh is fraught with numerous challenges like lack of data, lack of practical analysis, information asymmetry, etc. These deter potential investors and inevitably lead to suboptimal asset allocation and grand missed opportunities.
