Develop, edit, and maintain learning objects with a focus on accessibility, user experience, and user interface;Use Rise 360, Storyline, Illustrator, Canva, Sway, & Genial.ly, and more to develop e-learning modules, infographics, graphics, games, microlearning, & other content to support online learning;Collaborate with instructional design team to ensure design thinking and pedagogical theory supports each step of the design process;Use instructional design skills centred on ADDIE method and adult learning principles for content development, design process, graphic design, and learning theory to better support learning objects;Work with subject matter experts to assess and analyze learner needs by reviewing learner needs analysis and user experience reports;Support UX team by offering feedback to data collection projects, analyzing data, and implementing findings; Adhere to web accessibility and AODA guidelines for all learning objects created by the instructional design team (e.g. adding descriptive alt text, accessible web color combinations, PDF tagging, etc.)Develop standardized language, terminology, alt text, & copyright for all learning objects;Collaboratively lead the investigation, design, and experimentation with, and delivery of, general and course-specific learning objects, materials, and tools;Experiment with different emerging technologies to add interactivity, engagement, and active learning;Audit materials within the Online Learning Object Repository (OLOR) by reviewing accessibility, currency, and up-to-date instructional design “best practices”;Develop and consult with librarians on testing and assessment of online learning objects;Keep abreast with the latest trends in digital education to support new ways and tools for improved learning experience.
