The centre of my professional interest is mathematical and statistical modelling.In particular, I have applied these tools to assess the performance of networks and systems. I have analysed and optimised, e.g., the traffic capacity of networks, the availability of computer systems, load distribution algorithms and the management of address spaces and on identifying and exploiting patterns in demand for (video) content and improving the transport of such content to maximise user satisfaction under external and variable constraints. Other areas include economic models to explain and predict the demand of telecommunications services as well as experience models to explain and predict user satisfaction with these services. The most recent works on telecommunications regard optimisation of transport protocols with particular focus on wireless networks and 5G. The models and methods are not limited to communication systems or computer systems but they apply to other areas such as, e.g., logistics, as well.My current works are in the area of quality inspection and product classification from numerical data, digital audio or digital imaging within the automotive industry.The tools I use include mathematical and statistical analysis as well as event driven simulation both of which include extensive programming. The works also include "big data" types of models such as multiple linear regression models, clustering models and machine learing. I have also participated in projects on applied artificial intelligence in terms of neural networks.I am experienced in problem solving and attentive to details. I am also an experienced teacher and have taught numerous university courses at different levels for students and professionals in both Swedish and English. I have published over one hundred scientific papers and hold thirty patents.Specialities: I combine programming on many levels and in many languages with different aspects of mathematical and statistical modelling and I am happy to share my knowledge with students, course participants, colleagues or customers. I am experienced in understanding problems and "asking the right questions". To conclude, interesting problems related to mathematics and statistics have always been and still remain my professional passion and priority and currently I am fortunate and proud to be able to apply these skills at Autoliv, a company the products of which saves over 30,000 lives every year.
