As a Patient Access Manager, I oversee an outpatient and emergency registration team of 18 caregivers, practice budgeting and financial acumen for the department, practice improvement, collections, and leadership.

The collections specialist position was created in December of 2007, and I was the first person to fill it. My most important responsibility was being considered a leader of our department and the main go-to person for our supervisor. I worked employee and payment arrangement accounts, as well as worked with outside collection agencies on accounts that went to collections. I answered phone calls with billing questions on a daily basis and pre-registered all high dollar testing that occured at the hospital to try to maximize profit and front end collections.

My experience with volunteering in our church community began with organizing and leading a cleaning team within my first month of attending. I have served as office manager, children's program administrative assistant, volunteer coordinator, among any special projects where my help was needed. I currently serve on the creative team, the administrative team, and the cleaning team, but maintain flexibility and serve wherever my help is needed most.
