Senior Information Technology Security Officer
CurrentDuties Performed:- Responsible for the controls that the Organization needs to implement to ensure that it issensibly managing risks associated with the protection of information and informationinfrastructure assets.-Analyzes threats to the Organization assets, i.e. unwanted events that could cause thedeliberate or accidental loss, and damage or misuse of the assets.- Develops and implements an Incident Reporting and Response System (IRRS) to addresssecurity incidents and breaches and responds to alleged policy violations.- Responsible for determining how susceptible are the Organization assets to attack.-Assesses the impact and magnitude of the potential loss or the seriousness of the event.-Serves as an internal information security consultant to the Organization.- Develops, documents, and implements information security policies and procedures for the Organization.- Initiates, facilitates, and promotes activities to create information security awareness within the Organization.- Performs information security risk assessments and serves as an internal auditor for security issues.-Monitors compliance with information security policies and procedures, referring problems to the appropriate department manager.-Advises the Organization with current information about information security technologies and related regulatory issues.- Monitors the internal control systems to ensure that appropriate access levels are maintained.
