I am an Occupational Therapist and Rehabilitation and Participation Science PhD Candidate dedicated to utilizing the unique occupational therapy lens to advance research and improve practices supporting aging in place and community participation for older adults. My primary research interests include preventing falls and enhancing interdisciplinary care within community settings. I am dedicated to contributing to the body of knowledge that promotes safe and independent living for older adults.Throughout my career, I have conducted and published research related to older adult falls and individualized care approaches. I have collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to improve treatment plans and contributed to scientific literature through detailed studies. My previous experiences in conducting home safety evaluations, individualized treatment sessions, and tailored recommendations for home safety have sharpened my skills and deepened my understanding of practical applications in my research.As I continue my academic journey, I strive to bridge the gap between clinical practice and scientific inquiry using evidence-based strategies. My goal is to empower healthcare professionals to provide personalized and effective support for older adults.
