This semester, my Data Visualization Team and I are working with Thriving Connections to help document their data through visualizations using Tableau. This process will include client communication and meetings, data cleansing, the understanding of what data they would like presented, and how to best design these visualizations.

Through this internship experience, I gained many skills surrounding Shopify and online marketplaces. I learned many important web design principles that are used in the real-world, in addition to better understanding the complexities of e-commerce. I also spent time learning project management skills, including setting up spreadsheets and documents, completing audits, and communicating with other teams.

As a UX Design Intern, I worked with my team to learn WordPress skills to prepare us for future roles. Focus was placed on using exemplar pages and Figma to plan designs.

As an Accessibility Intern, my team's client was our local Parks and Recreation department. We gathered their forms, that included applications to work for them as well as permits, and made them accessible. We focused on aspects such as alternate text, reading order, and tagging by using Adobe.

As the President of TEDxIndianaUniversity, I was the leader of about 45 members. I lead weekly Executive Board and all-staff meetings, in addition to being the main point of contact for anything associated with our organization. I focused on planning for our conference in the spring with over 600 attendees, signing contracts, holding our TEDx license, engaging in community outreach to grow our organization, and ensuring that we were adhering to the TEDx guidelines.

After my work as a production intern my freshman year, I was awarded the position of Director of Production for TEDxIndianaUniversity. This role began at the end of my freshman year. In this role, I lead the production team in making graphics/posters and designing the stage for our conference at the end of the year.

Worked closely with the President of Wells Quad, planning events and making sure that we have enough money for events. My role includes deciding if we can afford events, giving money to other events or organizations, and attending funding board meetings.

I completed research about conspiracy theories online and how they are spread. We studied data sets and used components such as machine learning and coding. A paper has also been published with our research.
