I was the coordinator for the Beds Borough Learning Exchange (BBLE). I coordinated half termly headteacher and leaders of education (including the Head of Education at Bedford Borough Council) meetings and conferences for Bedford Borough and manage all the networking and sharing information. I administrated the Development group meetings, prepared agendas and did the minute taking. The Beds Borough Learning Exchange began in 2009 with a grant from The Bedford Charity (now known as The Harpur Trust) and offered monthly networking meetings for all headteachers in Beds Borough, both state and private, and including the Local Authority. In the second year it was co-funded by the Harpur Trust and Bedford Local Authority and was rebadged as a forum for all educationalists in the town, incorporating Bedford College, The University of Bedford, two further independent schools and the Prison Education Service. With the addition of the Bedford Free School in the fourth year, it is now a fully inclusive collaborative which invites the involvement of all educational leaders within Bedford Unitary Authority. www.thebble.org

I have volunteered, mainly for Macmillan, as an events manager fundraising for the Bedfordshire area. In February 2014 I planned, organised and secured sponsorship for a Family Fun Afternoon raising over £2,000 in the three hours. In September 2014 I organised the Macmillan Mid Beds Family Fest. An outdoor event with live music and lots of fun things to do. I also secured sponsorship for this and raised over £4,000 profit to Macmillan. I solely promoted and arranged this event, managing over 20 volunteers and the bands on the day. I was part of the committee that arranged the Ampthill Fun Day in August raising money for Keech Cottage and The Gambia Appeal. Another outdoor event with a football tournament, stalls, live music and food and drink. My main focus was attracting families and booking the selling stalls. I volunteered weekly as an events assistant at Flitwick Town Council 2014/15, followed by a 3 month project at Redborne Upper School promoting their newly built theatre and creating their social media pages.I was key member of the PTA. I also looked after the Facebook page and promoted events. I managed the summer fete in July 2015 raising £3400 profit in two hours and helped organise other smaller events such as school discos. In November 2015 and November 2017 I co-managed the Charity Ball attracting 270 people and raising over £16,000 at each event.In December 2016 and December 2017, I managed the Christmas Fayre.
