The role was that of a Test lead, Senior Software test engineer and Quality Controller (QC). Manage the group of twelve member testing team, plan and track their day to day activities.  Provide test bed for the testing team by installing the latest IFlight Crew build and deploying the latest J2EE build, of IOB, for each Customer on the release basis.  Work with the Technology team installing IFlight Crew application in UNIX environment as a part of setting up new servers for customers. Provide solution to Architecture problems confronted while testing and escalate critical issues to the technology team. Analyze new requirements put forth by clients and estimate the testing effort for the same and contemplate with the development team on the feasible release date.  Create test cases and traceability documents to cover system requirements and functional specifications. Recommend process improvements. Assist FAT (Factory acceptance testing) team in test-bed setup and in due course of testing. Create and maintain test records, establish and execute test procedures. Test the application for safety, reliability, user error messages, and user friendliness.  Report, analyze, and present the test results. Certify the release for FAT after ensuring the quality of deliverable and promulgate the release by sending release mail. Being the QC of the team have to ensure a minimal 80% quality for testing team in the Audits conducted by QA team.
