Intern Software Development - ARM Real-Time Embedded Networking applications.The project focused on layer two switches. I was part of a team which was handling firmware and SDK programming. My role was to support the team by enhancing and implementing new features. The following tasks were successfully completed during the tenure.• Firmware packaging script tool enhancement and testing (Python): Tool used for debugging purpose, it accepts filename and generate hexadecimal formatted file from a binary formatted file.• Enhance the firmware code by cleaning data section for restart functionality.• Implementation and testing of firmware memory type detection feature before the firmware flash process start.• Low level hook up function implementation for driver level I2C accessed memory and registers.

• Interfacing of peripherals with ASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuits) of Layer-2 on core network routers CRS-1 & CRS-3 for CISCO systems. • Design, implementation and testing of new features for Physical Layer Interfacing Modules (PLIM) of CRS-1 & CRS-3. Triaging and fixing bugs in PLIM modules.• Handled customer issues on live traffic network during maintenance window.• Configured routers and traffic generators with scaled configuration for unit and integration system test.

• Design, implementation and testing of various commercial and industrial embedded system projects. Interfacing different peripherals like EEPROM, LCD, RTC (Real Time Clock) etc. with microprocessors or microcontroller for various projects. • Interfacing different kinds of modems and card readers like GSM, GPS modems and RFID. Successfully delivered service and support for customer issues.
