Main Mechanical PIC for home-audio-system (HAS) model MHC-V21D, MHC-V72D, MHC-V82D and MHC-V43D.• Responsible for all mechanical related matter from conceptual design to mass production for housing and internal parts portion.• Study on design concept including design limitation, assembly sequence, tooling structure, mechanical mechanism, part cost estimation, overall mechanical schedule. • Mold and tooling trial; troubleshoot appearance defects on plastic parts and mold parameter.• Responsible for the product quality up to SONY standard and troubleshoot and study for root cause and countermeasure for any defect and issue occur.• Cooperate with different department such as production and quality assurance department to improve design for manufacturing and maintain the quality of the product for mass production.• Overall product appearance confirmation: color matching, texture, printing and secondary process.• Manage and keep BOM (tree diagram) updated for all mechanical parts through out the project.• Liaised with different parties (electrical engineer and acoustic engineer) to ensure the product meets the target requirement.

Coordinated mechanical related preparation for New Product Introduction (NPI) and Engineering Change Order (ECO) for PCBA assembly production. • Designs manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters.• Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods.• Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements and workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.• Design shop floor control system for each specific PCBA models.• Confers with production group concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.• Coordinates with customers to determine product specifications and design changes and responds to their request.• Estimates production times, staffing requirements and related costs to provide information for management decisions.• Confers with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.• Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
