I love machines. Motorcycles were my first love, but with age I’ve come to appreciate all things mechanical. The abundance of man-made creations never ceases to amaze me. Now I find myself fascinated by not only two and four wheeled inventions but also complex power plants, aeroplanes, ships and heat pumps. It gives me the greatest pleasure to analyse, understand, and, finally, upgrade mechanical systems of all kinds.My approach to work is largely influenced by my approach to vehicles: I thrive on making things better. I’m a natural problem solver, and curiosity is my second nature. Challenges and obstacles, both vehicle and work related, I see as stepping stones towards the desired improvement.
