As Technical Expert at Splink Inc., I'm responsible for how we grow our technologies in the mid-long term so that we can meet the demands of our business more quickly. To achieve this, I'm leading the process of replacing the ad-hoc, development speed-first design for targeting PMF with an architecture that allows for more scalable and sustainable development.

Splink is a Japan-based startup company, who tries to build and deliver practical medical AI applications by applying state-of-the-art AI technologies to medical. We currently focus on dementia, and mainly utilize medical brain imaging, such as MRI, to retrieve meaningful insights to doctor's diagnosis by combining machine learning techniques like deep learning and conventional pathological knowledge. As a CTO, I'm responsible for determining the direction of our research and development, and managing both our research and engineering teams.

ScaleOut Inc. is an advertising technology company specializing in the demand-side platform (at that time). I worked as a lead engineer for building a data analysis platform using distributed processing middlewares like Hadoop / Spark mainly for reporting advertising performance to customers. The system receives newly generated hundreds GiB/day and handles thousands of queries/day using hundreds servers. I was responsible for building robust and scalable query processing systems, writing complex inter-dependent query pipelines, and managing and operating distributed systems consisting of hundreds of servers. I joined ScaleOut in 2012, when there were under 10 members, and led data analysis department until the company was acquired KDDI group in 2013 (more specifically, mediba, which is subsidiary of KDDI).

I worked as a Web developer, building web service specializing in complex search systems, including hotel booking, e-commerce, etc.
