My name is Akilah.Somehow I have led myself to become an engineering student at the Schulich School of Engineering, working towards earning my degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Energy and Environmental Engineering.As a firm believer in the power of mentorship, I love sharing my knowledge and experience with others, especially those who are just starting out. Whether it's helping a fellow student understand a difficult concept or providing guidance on how to get around tasks, I'm always eager to lend a hand. On the other side of the same coin, I'm always looking to learn and get a hand to improve my relations in the community and gain some experience from those in and outside of my field. In addition to my passion for engineering, I'm also committed to making a difference in the world. Using my privilege and opportunities given to me, I try to get myself involved in events and roles that allow me to give a chance to others who may not have such windows of opportunity.
