After demolishing third-party counseling, the West Contra Costa Unified School district decided to provide School Based Counseling Program to help facilitate interpersonal communication with families, teacher, and students that exhibited difficulty adjusting to expectations that weren't accommodating to the trials and tribulations they were facing. My role consisted of establishing connections with County, State, and Federal to establish and maintain compliance. I was also responsible for billing, record-keeping, and staff facilitation of proper Medi-Cal documentation. Our team was a beautiful mixture of talent and compassion. It was a pleasure to utilize my skills in establishing this pilot program that has continued to grow.
