One of three interns on the 7 person defense team for General Momcilo Perisic, the chief of the Federal Yugoslav Army. Assisted in trial preparation and at trial as the case was actively in court four days a week. Performed legal and historical research, wrote legal memoranda, performed document, transcript and expert report analysis. Created and prepared summaries, comparative charts and exhibits for use by lead defense counsel at trial. Performed legal research and wrote legal memoranda using ICTY court jurisprudence as well as other relevant domestic and international jurisprudence due to the hybrid nature of the tribunal. Performed any needed tasks to assist with trial preparation, which varied daily based on in court proceedings.

DPK consulting works on rule of law & good governance reform projects in developing countries, funded by USAID & the World Bank. Worked on all aspects of the proposal process, from performing background research, to helping formulate and write proposal plans, to personnel recruitment. Worked intimately with DPK's proposal for the USAID project for Justice Sector Reform in Afghanistan. Performed most of the initial research on the current state of the Afghan Justice Sector for use by technical proposal writers and wrote draft parts of the Legal Education Reform plan. Gained significant experience in finding and working with documents relating to development including USAID and other NGO and international organization reports.
