Hey, my name is Akili (uh-keel-ee). I was born in Newark, New Jersey, and grew up in Woodbridge and Highland Park, NJ. As a homeschooled student during my elementary years, I had the time to explore various interests like ice hockey, acting, video games, and solving Rubik's cubes. A few top highlights from my youth include watching a Harry Potter movie for the first time on cable (ironically, the final one—Deathly Hallows Part II), scoring a game-winning shootout goal during a hockey tournament in Lake Placid (we ended up taking gold), and the day I discovered Cheat Engine to get unlimited suns in Plants vs. Zombies.Currently, I’m a junior at the University of Southern California studying Intelligence and Cyber Operations. I’m passionate about protecting data and exploring the intricacies of our digital world. I enjoy spending some of my free time researching historical cyber attacks, learning about industry standards, and doing CTFs. I’m now looking to gain hands-on experience to supplement and expedite my learning.Outside of school, I work with the LA Kings Ice Crew - Hockey Development team, where I help grow the sport of ice hockey in Southern California and represent the Los Angeles Kings.
