While keeping a watch on the bridge he is the representative of the ship’s master and has the total responsibility of safe and smooth navigation of the ship.- Navigation- Watch keeping- GMDSS radio watch keeping- Compare the compasses- All safety equipment's and system checking- Supporting chief officer for all duties.- Checking all navigation equipment's and do daily, weekly , monthly test.- Tracking and watchkeeping due to loading and discharging operation at the port.
