Sixways Stadium

I am responsible for all events and programmes run by the Warriors Community Department that generate income. This includes Rugby and multi sports camps, match day activities and festivals, teacher/coach education and work experience projects. I am also tasked with coming up with new programmes and/or initiatives we can do to continue community engagement. I oversee the planning and logistics of these events and ensure they are run as well as possible. I also must ensure we are sticking to the budgets of each of these and regularly monitor the sales of these where possible. I am also the direct line manager for all casual staff we use and create any rotas that will be needed if there are multiple programmes running simultaneously.

Sixways Stadium

Responsible for planning, organising and leading on all rugby camps and multi sports camps run by the Warriors Community Department including our flagship Malvern Residential. This also means I am the direct line for our Community Rugby Coaches and Casual Coaches on camps. I am also responsible for managing the camps profit and loss, ensuring we maximise our economic potential in everything we run whilst keeping the quality of delivery high.

As a requirement for my MSc, I needed to fulfil 100 hours of work-based placement in a field related to my course. I chose to do my hours with the Sixways Events Team. During this placement, I have been tasked with co-ordinating the Sixways 7s Rugby Tournament which has encompassed a wide range of skills and tasks. These include contacting 7s teams and getting them to book into the tournament via the online booking system, liaising with teams and answering any questions via social media DMs or email, inputting team data into large Excel spreadsheets and organising/planning the event’s day schedule. I have worked alongside people in differing roles such as accounts managers, event co-ordinators and social media marketers to bring the event to life.
