As a Data Scientist at Flipkart, I contribute in applying Machine Learning at the scale of over 210 million monthly active users, working in the Search Ranking Team where we build ML model for ranking products taking hand-in-hand customer experience as well as business objectives. I am passionate about incorporating safety and explainability in AI systems, which are essential for ethical and trustworthy applications.Before joining Flipkart, I pursued my M.Tech (Research) degree in Computer Science Automation from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), where I worked on safety in Deep Reinforcement Learning under the guidance of Prof. Shalabh Bhatnagar. I published a first author paper in the prestigious NeurIPS 2022 conference, and received the NeurIPS Scholar Award for the same. I also worked on explainability of Deep RL systems in my research. In addition, I have industry experience in anomaly detection from my previous role as a Project Engineer at Wipro Digital, where I was part of the Holmes AI Platform team.
