I have joined CARE International in Pakistan (CIP) as the Director, Finance and Administration for the Empowering Pakistan-Jobs Project (EPJ) recently in June 2009 after waiting for USAID approval since my position has been considered (by USAID) as "Key Personnel" and must have the prior approval from USAID (Substantial Involvement for this Cooperative Agreement). This project is one of the 5 project under the same program called "Empowering Pakistan" which was initiated by USAID. This enormous and important program has been awarded after the visiting of President Obama in Pakistan recently. CARE International in Pakistan has been awarded for the "Jobs" element and the $ value of this project is US $80Million for 5 years-life of the project.

I was hired in 2001 by Asia Area Office based in Bangkok as the Office Manager and after 1.5 years, I have been promoted to be the Asia Area Finance Manager and later on became Asia Area Finance and Capacity Building Manager. In September 2007, I was hired in the "International Staff" contract working for Asia Area Controller Team during the SC/US Finance Department's decentralization until December 2008 as the Manager, Finance & System Support and at the same time, I also worked as the acting Director, Asia Area Controller during the vacancy of the Director, Asia Area Controller since I was hired in the International Staff contract.Positions held during working for Save the Children Federation Inc.a) Director, Asia Area Controller : September 2007-December 2008b) Manager, Finance and System Support : September 2007-December 2008 c) Regional Finance and Capacity Building Manager for Asia : February 2007-August 2007d) Asia Area Finance and Budget Planning Manager : April 2004-September 2006e) Asia Area Office Operations Manager : August 2001-March 2004

This position was for Thailand Program which at that time, MSF/France worked in 5 Major Refugees Camps along Thai-Myanmar borders (worked for the refugees from minority groups; Karen, Kareni and Mon) and also implemented the ARV Drugs for HIV/AIDS affected in the Northeastern Area of Thailand.The key role was to working with and supervision of a team of administration staff within the country office and (4) field offices in Thailand. The major responsibilities are including control and monitor the finance report from field offices, maintain the policy and procedure to compliance with the rules and regulations from HQ and Donors, prepare the financial report to donors, liaison with government office and provide technical assistance to field staff in administration and finance

Firstly, I was hired as the Operation Supports Manager for Scan Tech Production Co., Ltd. (September 1996 – April 1998), then, in February 1998, the company was transitioning and completely merged with the STC Group in April 1998. The new Joint Venture company merged from 2 exisiting companies (Sweden & Denmark) and 2 new investors (British & Thai) and changed to stc SCAN TECH (Thailand) Co.,Ltd. supporting by Board of Investment of Thailand because this is the first Manufacturing of Construction Heavy Machinery for exporting.The main responsibility is to control all the functions of accounting and finance units as well as administration, human resources and purchasing. Liaise with government office such as Industry Bureau (for factory registration), Revenue Office (for taxation), Board Of Investment Bureau (for custom benefits), Labor Office (for social security & labor law compliances) and Ministry of Commerce (for Export-Import related). Direct Supervise 17 staff in support units.
