Hold the position of the Chief Audit Executive in charge of regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and risk assessment for KFUPM. My responsibilities entail leading the university’s internal audit team in conducting risk-based audits (RBAs) for all university functions. My duties also include developing and reviewing the internal audit charter, developing and updating the audit manual, risk register, and risk-control matrices for all KFUPM functional areas, as well as, audit staff recruitment, training and career development. Reporting responsibilities include periodical audits, and consultation reports and recommendations on various functions at KFUPM to top administration. Responsibility areas cover all university functional sectors including accounting & finance, research, academics, contracting, capital projects, maintenance, food services and information technology, among others. In this position, I report directly to the university president.
