As the Director of Administration at Earthlanka Youth Network, I oversee and manage ongoing projects in Sri Lanka focused on sponge farming, coastal conservation, and youth-led climate initiatives. My responsibilities include strategic planning, resource allocation, and fostering partnerships to ensure the success and sustainability of these projects. By empowering young leaders and integrating innovative solutions, I aim to enhance coastal resilience, support sustainable livelihoods, and contribute to broader climate action efforts, ensuring impactful outcomes for communities and ecosystems alike.Previously as a Project Coordinator at the National Peace Council of Sri Lanka (NPC), I have been actively involved in the implementation of the USAID funded project , which focuses on peace building in various districts across the country. This experience has honed my abilities to collaborate effectively within a team and consistently demonstrate a helpful and proactive attitude. During this period I had the opportunity and access to learn USAID formal system and standards also significant experience of leading complex projects involving multiple stakeholders,knowledge of co-production processes that support safe and meaningful participation and experience of working with Experts by Experience within complex projects,Experience of successfully managing a budget for a complex programme in line with Monitoring and Evaluation.Experience of developing strategies for income generation and managing funding bids,commitment to improving children, young people and families' living standards. moreover, during this time I had the opportunity to support general administration of the organisation in various ways such as social media support,policy development,creating coordination systems with other projects and maintang central documentation.
