Responsibilities:- Take responsibility for the provision and operation of test automation solutions and ensure conformity to standards that will meet key priorities of services across the University- Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and automation frameworks- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for test automation solutions- Research and analyse information and make recommendations based on relevant evidence ensure compliance with the University’s policies as well as Enterprise Testing quality control measures- Work collaboratively with the ICT team and stakeholders to identify and manage the planning and resourcing of testing staffAchievements:- Prepared detailed documentation in regards to one of the applications in use, SITS. Covered the major aspects of SITS environments and the activities related to applying for access to said environments. Furthermore, documented the database schema for the major processes that SITS covers. This expanded the testing team’s knowledge of the SITS product.- Assisted in the data preparation, specifically student data in the integration testing between the SITS product and Salesforce. This led to completing the systems testing on time, which was considered to be on a tight deadline.- Reviewed training material for AccelQ, a test automation QA tool that achieves codeless test automation and accelerates continuous testing. This led to increase in team ability to automate test scripts.

Responsibilities:- Conduct technical analysis, configuration, data corrections, test planning, test executions including test automation tasks within the Sydney Student application, SITS- Undertake root cause analysis of system issues including data and testing issues- Delivery of configuration and data solutions to a high standard in a timely fashion. Delivery of these products increase the quality of Sydney Student with minimal defects and rework.- Work in a collaborative fashion to enhance team output and quality- Comply with applicable quality processes and frameworks- Contribute to identification of process and framework improvementsAchievements:- Trained several junior colleagues in the basics of the finance functionality of the application as well as troubleshooting finance records, thereby sharing knowledge and information across the team.- Conducted data correction activities, specifically finance records within the application which resulted in reduced data errors and unearthing root causes to further prevent data errors from appearing.- Conferred my expertise and wealth of experience on the finance project which resulted in the successful deployment of the finance engine, which aimed to streamline the many processes that used the finance configuration into one seamless code block that can be easily maintained and debugged and would be consistent in finance outcomes.- Created automated test scripts to further improve the efficiency of Sydney Student's regression testing suite using the generic open-source automation framework, Robot Framework. Since this was a new addition to our processes, there were significant entry barriers that needed to be worked out. I managed to create and maintain automated test scripts such as when a student applied for a course, a student enrolling in said course and a student transferring from one course to another.

The work had a limited timeframe before deployment, tremendous visibility across the University including communication and feedback with high level stakeholders and had to work on free-flowing requirements as last-minute changes were added before the bill was passed. As a result of the successful deployment of the first phase, the University was able to remain compliant regarding its data reporting responsibility to the Government.- Implemented the Converted Weight Average Mark (CWAM) configuration in consultation with the Student Administration Services team. CWAM was used to calculate the Weighted Average Mark of a student with the exclusion of semesters that were affected by COVID. This ensured that the University remained committed that no student is academically disadvantaged during times of crisis.- Developed the graduation ceremony registration fee in consultation with the graduations team. This resultantly provided the University with a new stream of income and placed the University following industry practices and gained another stream of income for the University.- Integrated multiple payment types into the application so that students can now pay via American Express, Western Union and HSBC. This benefitted the student as it provided them different ways to pay their fees, enhancing their student experience as well as providing the Finance team another stream of income for the University in the shape of surcharges.
