Impressario I worked directly with managing director Ewa Michnik for an organization with 500+ employees. Independent role with a focus on organizing cultural events, premieres, and sourcing for a cast.IndependentMy work was outcome oriented, rather than a list of defined tasks. Example projects included preparing a whole trip for a cast like actors, performers, and directors. It involved anything from handling accommodation and scheduling rehearsals, up to fulfilling the free time they spend in a new city. I was solely responsible for planning my whole work week.RecruitmentI organized the whole recruitment process and hearings for the managing director. I sourced candidates, evaluated their experience based on their past performances and the references, contacted them and gathered their interest in the participate event. Then I prepared a written summary of their experience and presented best candidates directly to the opera house director with my suggestions.CommunicationI was the first point of contact for foreign artists and agencies that worked with Wrocław’s opera house. I worked on building relationships with them since the very first phone call, through picking them up from the airport, organizing their stay, rehearsals and finally to the end of the event. We usually stayed in touch long after their visit, which was helpful to get their feedback and reviews. The personal relationships I build were beneficial when any conflict meditation was required.FormalI was responsible for preparing formal HR documents, such as contracts for an artist. I also lead the RFP (Request For Proposal) process and elected subcontractors.
