Ako is an actor, filmmaker and voiceover artist based in London. As an actor, he's worked on sets as varied as Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness, Game Face for Channel 4, Avenue 5 for HBO, and films like Johnny English Strikes Again and Lake Placid 4. Ako voices 'Wood Man' in Hilda (Netflix) and 'Tex Pecks' in Best and Bester (NICK). His recent microshort ‘Two and a Half Minutes’ was awarded the Audience Award at the Paris Short FilmFestival, Best International Short at the San Francisco Indie Short Festival, andOutstanding Achievement Award at the Berlin Flash Film Festival (2021). His short ‘IPromise’ was a winner of the Cineuropa Shorts / Filminute Audience Award (2018). Ako wasawarded third place at the Bristol Encounters’ Widening the Lens Pitch Competition withhis pitch for ‘Wrestling Jacob’ which is currently in development.
