At FA we generate research signals for options trading. I have developed Forte Aegis code base & infrastructure from the very beginning. Today, I oversee all necessary development & deployment of applications for generating signals & reports for all the products in our portfolio.

Marine propulsion control system for POD vessels.In addition to the duties I performed as Matlab Developer I also took the responsibilities mentioned below. - Used a wide range of open loop and closed loop controllers such as hysteresis control, PID control and Stochastic control.- Designed, tested and maintained Joystick sub system, Throttle controller, Transmission controller, Engine speed controller and Steering servo controller. - Created, tested and maintained Autopilot sub system. Successfully implemented Raymarine, Simrad/Navico and Garmin autopilots. - Interfaced control system with Caterpillar Engines. - Designed algorithms to automatically calibrate Joystick sub system for a new vessel using GPS and other vessel data.- Solved control system issues like Engine load, propeller speed control, steering system control, etc.- Worked with Infineon and PowerPC based controllers.- Simulated numerous sub systems to accelerate design and testing stages of development.- Created a neural network(NN) based prediction algorithm to guess probable location of the vessel given propeller data. - Used the above NN to test new Joystick and Position Hold algorithms. - Performed HIL and SIL testing to ensure our control system met requirements for safety of life applications.Field Testing (50% Travel)- Tested our control system in real world vessels in Florida. - Collected data from communication networks using CANalyzer.- Used collected data to create simulation in Processing to understand what the vessel was doing.- Supported Mechanical team in troubleshooting issues on the vessel.- Maintained and setup a dedicated PC to collect data on the vessel, so that remote support could be easy.

Marine propulsion solution for POD vessels. Our mission was to develop a control system that is easy and intuitive for anyone to use. Our code base was in Matlab, Simulink and Stateflow. We also used C++ / C and Processing to support our effort to design and test.Worked on maintaining existing code base.Supported and worked closely with test group to resolve issues.Implemented and tested new control strategies for transmission controller.Our system used both CAN and NMEA2000 communication networks.
