I joined the organization with curiosity on what it means to employ a Black Liberation Framework into policies. Most of the policies introduced remain challenging (to both implement and understand) but in this position I learned that it essential to embody values when operationalizing policies and procedures and just as essential to note the impacts of them.

Supported the mission to advance Immigration Services in Portland and Washington. Migrated the organization from paper based and cash only services to online platforms. Participated in the first union bargaining contract from a management perspective. This is what inspired me to pursue mediation certification.

• Support compliance of fiscal policies and procedures including: manage accounts receivable and payable, invoicing, payroll, and check processing. Assist with co-ordination of annual audit information requests budgeting processes.• Support Executive Director and Deputy Director to ensure organizational compliance with Personnel and Finance Policies and Procedures, facilitate board communications, schedule meetings, and implement day to day operations.• Provide staff with support in such areas as: major group scheduling, database management, communication systems, and technology needs.• Manage office including filing, supplies, technology, and operational systems that ensure staff is able to work effectively and efficiently.• Manage other limited services including pass through grants and donations services.• Perform miscellaneous job duties as assigned including assisting in delivery and accountability of internal anti-oppression work

Assist with voter registration especially amongst the youth to promote youth engagement and leadership. Organize and support campaigns that educate Oregonians on laws that will be on the general election ballot.

Each year Student Life interns are selected to work with Student Life staff to lead programs, provide services, improve the quality of the student experience at Lewis & Clark, and to learn about a possible career in Student Affairs in higher education. Student Life interns provide significant support to individual departments through a variety of programming, advising and administrative tasks.

Led sectionals and warm-ups with the SAA (Tsunami), SATB (Pacifica) choirs comprising middle and high school students and conducted Locus Iste by Anton Bruckner in rehearsals and performance under the direction of Mia Hall Miller.

The Meet the Artist & Community Programs highlight education and outreach at Lincoln Center, providing a wide range of interactive and intimate performances specially created for audiences. The series connect audiences with artists while in an up-close and casual format introducing them to the world’s leading performing arts organization. Programs include Target Free Thursdays, Lincoln Center Local, PoetLinc, Meet the Artist Saturday, and Meet the Artist School Series. Now in its 34th year, Meet the Artist delights thousands of students annually with every show and tour.

Review existing data about corporate giving in the arts and prepare a paper that presents relevant data and research about corporate philanthropy.

My work was to assist the Procurement Officer in the economic and efficient purchasing of goods required by the university and dealing with various tenders through the purchasing process and eventual overseeing of their payment.
