Dr. Alex Krichevsky is a biotechnology and business professional with extensive background in plant biotech, drug discovery and life sciences. His work has been featured in numerous mainstream media outlets in the United States including Bloomberg Businessweek, NBC News, Discover magazine, the Huffington Post and Slate magazine, as well as in Germany, the United Kingdom, Portugal, and China. For close to twenty years Dr. Krichevsky held variety of positions in academia and biotechnology industry, ranging from assistant professor at a state university to director of research at a biotechnology company. Examples of his professional accomplishments include works being selected by the United States Department of Agriculture as a Major Scientific Publication featuring National Research Initiative-funded research (2007), Monsanto Award for best biotechnology start up (2015), and others. Dr. Krichevsky has authored numerous research publications in top-ranked scientific journals including the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Nature Protocols, and Developmental Biology. He also holds a number of biotechnology patents. In his spare time Dr. Krichevsky contributes to the community by helping with educational outreach. For many years he has served as an honor judge at the Long Island Science and Engineering Fair and Annual Rohm and Haas Electronic Materials Invitational Science Fair. He is often invited to lecture at colleges and corporations with recent appearances at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and the Monsanto Fellows Symposium.
