I have been involved in annual audits, limited review engagements and special assignments of large and medium-sized national as well as multinational entities. I have led teams through the planning, execution and conclusion stages of annual audits, validation of financial reporting packages and other varied special nature engagements. My responsibilities include engagement management, client relationship management, and co-ordination with professionals in various fields.A brief of major responsibilities include:- effective planning and execution of audit engagements (as per the requirements of International Standards on Auditing) and other assignments to ensure completion of the same within the prescribed deadlines;- assisting clients in preparation of financial statements in accordance with the applicable International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), corporate laws, listing regulations and other directives of regulatory authorities;- review of internal control systems, identification of significant weaknesses and recommending improvements thereon;- coordination with professionals in related fields like legal, actuarial, taxation and IT experts;- liaising and developing good working relationships with clients to deliver engagement expectations and providing ongoing advisory services; and- supervision, training and motivation of team members.Significant engagements adding towards my professional experience include:- Engro Polymer and Chemicals Limited ( Limited Review 2015); and- The Pakistan Business Council (Annual Audit 2015).
