Full stack developer working on data integrations and features.Did Devops work to automate server management on AWS using Terraform and Chef. Built a feature in react.js to help connect PCPs to their patients. Wrote data integrations in Ruby to pull data from hospitals.

Built a data pipeline to collect user generated tracking data from our site including page views, clicks, heartbeats, and impressions. This involved writing a service in front of Kafka to perform data validation and serialization, spinning up our own Kafka cluster as our message bus, and using Gobblin (an ingestion engine released by LinkedIn) to move data from Kafka into S3. Load tested the end to end system for performance metrics.Designed our ingestion pipeline and data serving service for our credit cards data. Wrote and open sourced VersionAlchemy, a way to track changes to MySQL rows (inspired by Ruby's paper trail), as a part of this process. Wrote comprehensive tests to ensure our new data model and API precisely matched our legacy system.Led a weekly backend meeting to discuss horizontal backend projects that impact the entire company. Mentored two interns, took an active role in interviewing and recruiting, and participated in outreach efforts like tech talks and blog posts.
