Worked with a team of researchers on a novel saliva based cancer sensor. Aim of the project was to develop a sensor that significantly brings down the cost of cancer testing and is easy to be operated by a layman. The team successfully filed the provisional patent for the prototype.My key roles as a product development intern was to analyze various trends in the industry and devise ideas for improving the prototype with a major focus on reducing the per test price and making the testing process simple. Presently the per test price when produced at mass scale would be 40 INR, that is 50 times less than the traditional method.
