My technical background is in Water Resources Engineering, and my MBA concentration was Strategic Management. My work at Black & Veatch allows me to leverage both to provide value to our clients.I currently fill two major roles at Black & Veatch. The first role is as the National Practice Lead in Stormwater, Watersheds, and Flood Management. In this role, I lead a group of professionals to deliver and develop solutions for our clients ranging from watershed management and green infrastructure to dam breach modeling and hydraulic structure design to complex modeling efforts. This position allows me the opportunity for significant interaction with clients and to develop and manage a fantastic group of engineers and scientists. My second (and no less important) role is to lead Strategic and Business Planning for two important parts of the Black & Veatch business: Mining and Water Americas. For Mining, I work directly with the leadership of our Corporate Mining Initiative to develop and deliver the strategic plan for the initiative, as well as a significant change management effort. For Water Americas, I facilitate and manage business plan development and progress reporting.
