The Center for Cancer Prevention, Research and Outreach (CCPRO) aims to provide tools and resources that identify and address cancer disparities, while building a network of partners committed to coordinating and enhancing outreach education and cancer prevention among under served populations. The Center focuses its efforts on breast, prostate, and oral, head, and neck cancer prevention and outreach education activities in North St. Louis City and County.As an intern, I assist with designing and implementing cancer outreach evaluations through recruitment, data collection and analysis, and developing reports and manuscripts. I also attend community outreach and preventive screening events.

As a Graduate Research Assistant, I have participated in original research on a variety of public health topics, including childhood injury prevention, SIDS, hospital community health needs assessments and prioritization. I have gained substantial experience conducting literature reviews, managing citation databases,performing quantitative analysis on original data, and assisting with formatting of journal manuscript.

While earning my Master's degree, I conducted multiple original research projects resulting in professional publications. I also presented my research at workshops and conferences. Additionally, I was a graduate teaching assistant for one academic year and served as an office of our Graduate Society for my entire tenure as a graduate student.
