Personal ProfileIn 2011, I have joined Cisco as a network consulting engineer on a graduate program. From 2012 to 2017, I have worked in Cisco Solutions Validation Services team. I was responsible for validating/certifying datacentre network solutions for Cisco’s Enterprise customers. I worked closely with internal BUs and sale teams to ensure successful delivery of various projects and POCs. I have successfully completed projects for Nomura, JPMC, RBS, RBC, CBA Bank, ANZ Bank and Liberty Global. In 2017, have worked as an independent technical consultant for Liberty Global, advising and supporting them with the deployment of the new ACI datacentre in Netherlands. I have excellent technical skills, and tacit knowledge in testing DC network products at POC and NRFU level, good knowledge in Python programming and SDN automation, experience with VMware Vsphere, F5 load-balancers and Checkpoint firewall products. In 2021, I have joined Liberty Global as an internal employee working as a senior DevOps engineer. I have recently recertified my CCNP Enterprise certification. I am currently studying towards Google Associate Cloud Engineer and Terraform Associate certifications. Developing Low Level Designs for Cisco ACI such as BGP L3OUT integration to MPLS WAN, redesign ACI tenant VRF to optimised deployment of External EPGs, AEPGs and contracts for a complex video application platform etc. Previous ExperiencePreviously at Cisco, I was specialising in datacenter technologies. I have lead and delivered multiple successful Nexus 9000 Proof Of Concepts for various international Banks and ISPs. POCs were based on Nexus 9000 / VXLAN EVPN fabric and Cisco ACI. I was working in a customer facing capacity, demonstrating various capabilities of the Cisco DC products/solutions, including: ACI Multipod, VXLAN stretch EVPN DCI, RFC performance testing with IXIA, Vmware Itegration, Automation, and fabric management tools such as Ignite, NFM and Prime DCNM. I would demo the solutions to the customer technical teams either on site or over video conferencing systems. Each POC engagement would normally be at the RFP stage, competing with the other vendors such as Arista, requiring diligent management of customer expectations and sentiment to ensure a successful win of the POC activity.
