I currently support public education through data analytics in state level government. I have a strong research background in the areas of data science and machine learning as well as years of experience working in public education as a classroom teacher and school administrator for curriculum and instruction. In the future I am looking for an opportunity with a school district or community organization to use data science and research to discover and implement at scale effective programs and policies that advance justice by improving educational outcomes and opportunities for all students and families in the community served.As an educator of students and of teachers I have lead and worked on teams to improve teacher evaluation and coaching models, STEM extracurricular programming, and school curriculum redesign. As a graduate student I have developed a good command of data science skills including Python, SQL, and machine learning techniques. I am passionate about using data to make public policy better and am looking for opportunities to work at the intersection of these fields.
