Since March 2022 and currently working as an EOOW onboard the busy ferries on the west coast of Scotland. My main responsibility is maininting safe watchkeeping during my 12 hours shift. With an average ship’s age of 20+ years, I had been heavily involved in the planned/unplanned maintenance, breakdown and overhauling of various main engine types, auxiliary and ancillary machineries and systems. Skill set: - Maintain safe and efficient watchkeeping of the machinery space and running plants. - Troubleshooting, diagnostics, & problem-solving complex mechanical, electrical, & AV/IT systems. - Managing & coordinating multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks, & meeting deadlines. - Excellent record keeping for both planned maintenance and store keeping using IDEA and other industry standard PMS/ISM bundles - Team Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. - Meticulous approach to inspections & maintenance schedules. - Thrive in dynamic environments, adapting quickly to new technologies. - Problem Solving: Proactive approach to identifying & resolving technical issues.I’m Duly qualified EOOW III/1 with HND qualification in Marine Engineering. Achieved Professional Diploma in Marine Management. With valid ENG1 and all relevant STCWs valid and up-to-date.
