Howdy!This is Al Bashir, currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the Dept. of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at Texas A&M University, College Station, TX. My scholarly pursuits are centered on cutting-edge research in digital agriculture technologies, primarily focusing on artificial intelligence (AI)-based automation, edge-AI systems, robotics, and computer vision to enhance the autonomy of controlled environment agriculture (CEA) facilities. My academic journey began with a bachelor's and master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), where I honed my expertise in computational problem-solving using programming languages such as Python, C, C++, and Java. Additionally, I have developed proficiency in convolutional neural network (CNN) and machine learning (ML)-based model development, as well as generative AI and large language model (LLM) with recurrent network applications. I possess skills in image and signal processing utilizing MATLAB, and experience in robotic design and simulation using SolidWorks. Furthermore, I have practiced model optimization using single-board edge devices such as Raspberry Pi and NVIDIA Jetson Nano.
