Caring for children and families with childhood cancer allows me to see great courage and compassion in the children, their families, and the amazing team of Pediatric oncology caregivers, nurses, physicians, pharmacists, nursing assistants, administrative staff, researchers, volunteers, child life assistants and others, each day. I started my foray into pediatric cancer care in 1985, and am privileged to work with the Beat Childhood Cancer team at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital and am excited about the innovation and fresh approaches to treating children with high-risk cancers.
