Maintenance manager / Technician in oil/gas industry. We manufactured systems for oil and gas separation in the field. I managed crew for in house plant repairs of overhead cranes {1 ton to 40 ton lift capacity}, plate roll formers {1/4 inch to 4 inch thick capacity}, Mig/Tig/Subarc welding equipment, plasma cutting equipment {hand & computer table}, air compressors, boilers, pipe turning rolls {1 ton to 50 ton capacity}, machine shop lathes, mills and metal roll formers. I also ran the 10 ton lift capacity mobile yard crane.

In house repair, troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment to manufacture oil / gas separating equipment and gas flow measurement buildings. This includes overhead cranes, band saws, sheet metal brakes, forklifts, power sources and feeders used for MIG welding, turning rolls and plasma equipment. I also did the electrical modifications inside the plant, repaired plumbing problems and repaired the lighting inside and outside of the plant and also repaired the paint booth heat system and spray equipment. If not busy or if the forklift driver didn’t feel comfortable in doing so, I also helped load finished buildings onto trucks with one of the forklifts and filled in for him when he took time off. I was the purchaser for parts to make repairs, welding consumables & wire or rod, tools and support equipment for the welding shop, tin shop, skid builders and also did the purchasing for the support tools and equipment used in their manufacturing jobs. I also helped out the manager at the other shop in Casper when he needed help figuring out an electrical problem and became available for questions for his crew when he took time off from work. During this time I also designed the layout for, helped with the construction of and installed a new air compressor, drier and 2 storage tanks for the shop air supply. This included the running of the 480 service to the equipment, installing a 120/240 power panel and all associated conduit for the equipment.

Some of my duties there include repair of welding equipment, overhead cranes and hoists, plasma torches and water tables used in cutting metal, 6 head gas cutting torches with an optical eye to trace patterns on paper, and various mills and lathes used in the manufacture of the parts required to build the mining equipment.

This included all mechanical, electrical, design and manufacture of various platforms, machine upgrades and general preventive maintenance of all equipment used in the plastics business. During my time there, I designed and installed heat exchanger systems on all the equipment to get them off city water for cooling to closed loop distilled water cooling with extra heat exchangers so one set could be closed off and cleaned while the machine is running to reduce down time to almost zero for cooling system repairs. I helped with the install of 3 new extrusion lines and worked with Farrell Corp. in making some design modifications to speed up repair of their equipment and also was the main maintenance technician on a prototype machine that was purchased by our company for trial.
