Task lead and primary developer for the Portfolio Analysis Coding Tool (PACT), a system used by personnel in the National Cancer Institute Office of Science Planning and Assessment (OSPA). The system is designed to allow users to select the coding options for a research grant project from a list of predetermined code values. Basic grant data is imported from an Excel spreadsheet that includes all grants to be coded and, once complete, will allow exporting of data for further analysis in other systems. Responsible for all aspects of system design and development of the PACT system, which is built in ColdFusion 9.0 and Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

U.S. Courts Administrative OfficeAssessed legacy Enterprise FoxPro/FoxWeb system (InfoWeb) for viability to migrate to a ColdFusion/SQL Server solution.Converted one complete module to ColdFusion as a proof-of-concept and as a baseline to extrapolate estimates. Created over twenty conversions of built-in FoxPro and FoxWeb functions to ColdFusion user-defined functions.Wrote ColdFusion coding guidelines and guidance for team for common coding conventions to use for conversion. Developed recommendations for migration effort.Worked with development team to improve process for ColdFusion applications. Installed Subversion and provided guidance in its use. Upgraded three production servers to ColdFusion 9.National Institute of Standards and TechnologyWas part of the team which created the new intranet for the National Institute of Standards and Technology using CommonSpot. Gathered requirements and helped design layout. Wrote custom ColdFusion scripts for the site to incorporate the official NIST Twitter feed, Flickr Photostream, and YouTube channel into the intranet home page. Customized and implemented event calendar with six different views and an iCalendar export option.

Developed Department of Homeland Security U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Exam Fee Receipting System (EFRS) for use by 80+ field offices to generate receipts for Immigration and related application fees. The system was built to replacethe disparate point-of-sale reporting systems used by the various offices and to provide a more uniform and less labor-intensive method of reporting fee collections. The system was built using ColdFusion 8 and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and uses the USCIS SLOPE development framework.Developed the AR-11 Form internal system. The system replaced a proprietary solution with an intranet web tool. The system allowed Citizen and Immigration Services personnel to manage paper change of address forms, specifically forms with issues that will prevent processing and to gather data from complete forms for batch processing.Lead a team of ColdFusion developers in designing and developing EFRS and managing system change requests. Acted as mentor to junior developers.

Part of team responsible for intranet applications at the National Institute of General Medical Science (NIGMS).

Responsible for all development and management of eCommerce business-to-business website. This website accounted for over one-third of the company’s sales and handled $1.8 million worth of transactions weekly. Successfully migrated site from ColdFusion 5.0 to ColdFusion MX. Designed and developed customized customer websites as well as a number of intranet applications for back office functions.

Acted as senior team member and lead developer for projects for Allied Office Products and eSurg.com. Developed complex eCommerce websites using ColdFusion 5.0.Provided ongoing support for delivered website, including developing enhancements and new functionality.

Developed websites using ColdFusion 4.5 and 5.0. Member of team for eSurg.com project as well as performing maintenance for Christie’s Auction House, the Gay Financial Network, and Dow Jones University.

Designed, implemented and maintained intranet website for 400-person sales organization of the Consumer Sales Division. Features of website included document store and Non-Standard Contract Application. Received Pinnacle Club award for work on this web site.Supported the Consumer Sales Division's strategic initiatives by providing data and analysis of usage and revenue driven through the Agent channel. This included developing monthly reports including data analysis using Microsoft Access and Foxpro to assist Market Managers' strategic planning. Negotiated and developed ad-hoc reports for specific short-term initiatives.Provided PC technical support to 76 nationally deployed salespeople in a "Virtual Office" environment.
