Deacon Al Frank is devoting his retirement to his family, parish ministry and teaching religion as an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University. He retired in February 2017 as Associate Publisher of Advocate Publishing Corp., the publications arm of the Archdiocese of Newark, where he was founding editor of New Jersey Catholic, the monthly magazine of the archdiocese. He came to the post in May 2013, after serving as an adjunct professor and senior writer in the public relations department of Seton Hall. He returned to his alma mater in 2009 after retiring from The Star-Ledger, ending a 30-year career in daily newspapers. He subsequentlly earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Drew University. He has served Saint Ann Parish in Parsippany since his ordination in 1995.
