I assigned work, set goals, and maintained role clarity for the team members.My background also includes experience in improvement engineering where I analyzed chemical unit operations to develop the changes that would reduce costs and increase production.I was the Process Control Lead for 2 new units, each having an installed cost in excess of $30 million. My Chemical Engineering background was instrumental in development of the functional requirements specification that matched the equipment design and the operational requirements. From the functional requirements, my team developed the structured text programming that resulted in automatic control during and after startup. A key element of the project success was the thorough reviews and simulation of the programming before it was used with the physical unit.I have experience in the following areas:• Certified Six Sigma Green Belt • User of AspenTech Process Explore• Trained on use of Dynamic Matrix Control• Trained on ISA 88• Implemented Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)• Reduced Manual interventions• Reduced Nuisance AlarmsProcess Automation must be implemented to improve reliability, meet product specifications, reduce variability, and maintain safe operations.
