Al enjoys problem-solving and adapting protocols to better meet the needs of others. Before switching to Software Development, Al worked in Therapeutic Recreation for Seattle Parks and Recreation: serving hundreds of people with developmental disabilities. Al worked for the City of Seattle for 15 years.Al graduated from Columbia University in 2012 and continued her education with Ada Developer's Academy, graduating in 2022. During her software engineer studies - Al created over 3 hours of video content with visual and auditory reinforcement to help future software engineering students learn Terminal, Command Line, Iterators, Branching, and Programming Grammar.
