Responsibility and accountability for the direct oversight of the United Properties accounting department and related compliance including oversight of adequate internal controls throughout the organization and top-level communication and coordination withe the Executive Team.Oversight of the general accounting processes including the timely preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, accurate transaction processing, financial statement analysis, account reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting including the maintenance of the fixed asset and GAAP records.Lead and coordinate the annual budget and forecast projections, oversight of acquisitions, dispositions and transfers from development to an operating asset, supporting both the asset management and development teams with strategic analysis and reporting metrics, oversight of joint venture accounting and reporting, communicating with investors, preparing and overseeing all quarterly and annual bank or lender reports and leading the tax preparation process including compliance with state and local sales and use tax filing requirements.Supervise and maintain a competent accounting staff, and assuring there is a system of adequate controls within their realm of responsibilities.
