    Assigned to Cummins Power Generation.DEVELOPED -- analyzed, designed, coded, tested -- a control system for a fuel cell intended as part of a hybrid power generator.Working with an Electronics Engineer, turned crude, incomplete process flow diagrams into a functioning state machine, which could handle start-up, running, shutdown and fault conditions.This system would determine whether it was a parent or child module, send appropriate CAN messages and read appropriate hardware inputs to determine air/fuel requirements and control the electrical output of a multiple fuel-cell stack configuration.

    DESIGNED a control system for a module intended to drive an electric load such as a blower motor.Working closely with an Electronics Engineer, took incomplete, vague functional requirements, generated complete, concise Software Requirements document.Utilizing structured design principals, designed and coded system to determine nature of control input (analog or PWM) and generate a PWM output, controlling the load to a constant voltage while protecting for faults.In a joint effort with an Electronics Technician, tested the module for functionality and optimized PID control structure, as well as minimizing influence of electronic noise on incoming signals.DESIGNED embedded software modules for automotive HVAC control systems while working as part of a cross-functional team comprised of both in-house and client engineers.
