Albert Robinson is a dynamic, results-oriented leader with over 20 years of manufacturing and business management experience. Coming to Detroit, Michigan by way of Miami, Florida in the early 90s, Robinson was introduced to the automotive industry shortly after high school, taking an entry-level position with AAM in 1995. Through a combination of grit, passion, and perseverance, Robinson rose through the ranks of the organization and eventually became the highest level plant associate, serving as plant manager at AAM, with responsibility for $300M+ in annual production value. Robinson also served as a HR executive with responsibility for AAM’s Driveline Division that included over 4,000 employees. Robinson has received numerous accolades during his time at AAM, including the Richard E. Dauch Chairman’s Award for his overall leadership contributions to this $3B+ organization.Through his wide range of experiences at AAM, Robinson has developed expertise in a number of key areas including operational excellence, P&L management, product launches, labor negotiations, talent/performance management, and building & managing high performing teams.In addition to his efforts at AAM, Robinson has a long legacy of both mentorship and leadership in the community.Robinson spearheaded the development of a leadership development program for the University of Michigan Football Program. In this program, Robinson mentored numerous UM football players, offering them a view into the business world and showing them the skills needed to excel in their careers after their football playing days were over. Robinson has mentored numerous UM athletes that have gone on to have successful careers in fields of dentistry, real estate, and business management among others.Robinson graduated with a BA in Business Management. Robinson and his wife, Sara, reside in Clarkston, Michigan where they have 5 children (Kristen, CJ, Isayah, Jurney, and Myles).
