Primary responsibility is to preserve the safety and security of Golden Entertainment, Inc. guests, Team Members and assets at all Corporate properties. Responsible for the overall operational and strategic direction, administration and coordination of all activities within all of the Corporation’s Security and Surveillance Departments. Work directly with the management staff at the properties to discover, maintain and provide information to senior management and property department heads regarding potential safety and security risks, criminal activity and activity that may cause harm to the Corporation. Oversee and maintain the standardization and consistencies of Security and Surveillance reporting, training; including the writing, archiving and coordination of reports. Ensure departments are following all gaming regulation and company policies and procedures. Develop training policies, procedures and programs in firearms and tactical response. Directly responsible for the implementation of all access control and video Surveillance Systems Corporate wide. 29 plus years of Public Safety experience and Law Enforcement Service with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Maintained direct oversight of sophisticated and complicated criminal investigations. Managed multi -million dollar budgets to include State and Federal Homeland Security Grant programs, State Emergency Management Grants and a Police Department Budget. Lead a staff of approximately 500 personnel conducting police operations, enforcement and complex criminal investigations. Experience as a First Responder, Special Weapons and Tactics Operator, First Line Supervisor, Manager, Senior level Manager and a member of the Sheriff's Executive Staff as a Deputy Chief. As a Corporate Vice President of Security and Surveillance experienced multiple successes in the implementation and development of a corporate wide Security program which included a firearms program, Emergency Response Team program, less than lethal tools system, enhanced emergency first aid tools, and improved upon the Corporate Security Standard Operating Policy Manual. Successful implementation of a new state of the art digital Surveillance System at the cost of 2.7 million dollars in Laughlin Nevada. Successful implementation of a new Corporate wide DSX control access system. Maintained Surveillance systems corporate wide in Las Vegas, Pahrump and Laughlin. Direct oversight of 9 Security Directors of Security and 5 Directors of Surveillance spread across Southern Nevada and the State of Maryland.
